Information
Privacy policy.
A plain-language explanation of what this website stores and what it does not.
Financial inputs
The financial calculators run in your browser. Values entered into the calculators are not submitted to Kiran Puthezhath or stored on a website server.
Local browser storage
The site uses local storage on your device to remember your colour-theme preference, your optional analytics choice, a browser-specific analytics testing exclusion, a FIRE Planner scenario only when you choose “Save locally,” and historical Money Experiment check-ins from the retired tool. These records remain in that browser and are not sent to this website. The Career Break Planner keeps its inputs only in the current page. Historical Money Experiment entries remain readable at the old tool address and are not changed by the new planner. You can remove stored records by clearing this website’s site data in your browser.
Accounts, analytics, and advertising
This website does not require an account and does not include advertising. Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after you choose Allow analytics. If you allow it, Google Analytics may use first-party analytics cookies and process limited measurement information such as the page URL, referrer, timestamp, browser or device information, IP-derived location, the name of a tool opened, a successfully completed calculation, or a stock-screen query copied. Completion and copy events are counted at most once per tool per page visit; they do not count automatic example calculations or invalid submissions. Calculator amounts, ages, percentages, generated results, free text, contact details, and other financial values are never included in these custom events. Advertising storage stays denied and Google signals for advertising remain disabled. If you decline before it loads, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded. Withdrawing permission disables further Google Analytics measurement and clears accessible analytics cookies; it does not remove data already collected. You can review or change your choice at any time using Analytics preferences in the footer. For your own testing, open Analytics preferences and choose “Exclude this browser while testing.” This disables new Google Analytics measurement in that browser, even if analytics was allowed. It does not exclude other devices, private windows, other browsers, or traffic already collected. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice lasts only for the current page. Consent-based reports do not represent every visitor. Analytics reports are available only to the website administrator. Read Google’s privacy policy for information about Google’s processing.
Hosting logs
The hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and time of access for delivery, reliability, security, and abuse prevention. This is controlled by the hosting provider’s infrastructure.
External links
The site links to third-party services including YouTube, Amazon, UBS, Screener.in, and email providers. When you follow an external link, that service’s privacy practices apply.
Changes
This policy will be updated if advertising, accounts, server-side storage, or materially different analytics practices are introduced.
